Peter Cooper Greenberg

Peter Greenberg has over thirty years of interdisciplinary experience with design and detailing at many scales: from the design of furniture and furniture systems, to exquisite residences in America and Europe, to international workplaces, restaurants, hotels, and universities. His extensive work with design research and education bridges scholarship, teaching, and practice. Since Peter has started working with Ester Bruzkus in 2016, the firm has won several international design competitions, has won many design awards, and has completed many significant projects, including the restaurants Remi and Villa Kellermann Tim Raue, and projects for Nobu, Relaxound, C1, Volkswagen’s Autostadt, and the PSD Bank.

Before joining Ester Bruzkus Architekten, Mr. Greenberg led GREENBERGDESIGNLLC where major clients had included Harvard University, the WGBH Educational Foundation, and the Beth El Temple Center (Belmont MA). Before founding his own firm in 2005, Mr. Greenberg had been Senior Associate at Robert Luchetti Associates where he had been responsible for projects for the American University in Cairo, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Steelcase, Knoll International, Fidelity Investments, Wainwright Bank, the Boston Consulting Group, the Bank of America, and many private residences.

Mr. Greenberg has been Associate Professor of Interior Design at Wentworth Institute of Technology (Boston) in the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction Management. He taught design studios and technical courses that focus on materials, detailing, building systems, structure, theory, and history. He also coordinated and taught the College’s study-abroad Program in Berlin. Peter has lectured widely on interior and architectural theory as well as the relationship between materials, detailing, history, and environmental responsibility. His current scholarship can be followed on his instagram page @architecture_in_a_blink.

He received his Master of Architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and graduated cum laude with Distinction in Architecture from Yale University where he also studied philosophy and the history of art. He is a licensed architect in the United States in Massachusetts and New York, is a certified Interior Designer, and holds the NCIDQ and LEED qualifications.
